“Screwge” remains faithful to the original chronology and structure of the tale. The sequence of events prompted by the appearance of Jacob Marley and subsequent hauntings from the past, present and future remain as they were first presented in Dickens’ text. Characterisation is also maintained without unnecessary changes, as is the final redemption of Screwge himself. The architecture for this production is described below
